Opening in the Fall
of 2013, the Mary Idema Pew Library Learning and Information Commons will
connect students, resources, and technology and change the face of education at
GVSU. The building is on track for
LEED Platinum and energy performance is expected to exceed ASHRAE standards by 50%.
The GVSU Mary Idema Pew Library will provide 1,500 seats for student study, 20 group study rooms, offices, and support areas for faculty and staff members. The library will house space for 150,000 books on open shelves and 600,000 books in an automated
storage/retrieval system.

5:30 p.m. – Networking and appetizers
6:00 p.m. – Welcome and Presentation on the Mary Idema Pew Library
6:30 p.m. – Hard Hat Tour starts
